I recently had the exciting opportunity to present to a large Meta audience of 200+ colleagues across North America about the rising importance of AI Agents in 2025 and why they are a hot topic across the tech industry.

During the talk, I covered the fundamentals of Large Language Models (LLMs) and compound LLMs as the backbone of AI intelligence. I then explained what AI Agents are, highlighting the differences between LLMs, AI workflows, AI agents, and tool-calling.

I also discussed various types of AI agents, how they are evolving, and the key industry trends shaping their future. It was a rewarding experience to break down complex concepts and share insights on why AI agents are driving innovation today and beyond.
