Last week, on International Women’s Day, I had the privilege of attending a powerful fundraiser in support of Ernestine’s Women’s Shelter — a non-profit that provides critical advocacy, crisis intervention, and refuge for women, Two-Spirit, Trans, Non-binary, and Gender Diverse individuals, along with their children, fleeing violence.

Held at Arcadia Earth Toronto and generously supported by McCarthy Tétrault, the evening was filled with hope, emotion, and resilience. Listening to the courageous stories of women who overcame unimaginable adversity — and went on to build lives of strength and success with the support of Ernestine’s — was deeply moving.

Organizations like Ernestine’s rely heavily on donations to continue their life-changing work. If you feel called to support, I encourage you to learn more or contribute here: https://lnkd.in/ewyj9nPj.

Special thanks to Sally Leung, Paul Galbraith, Craig Perlmutter, Zahra Zahed, Emily McClung, Ashley J. Hassard, and Andreia McLean for making this event possible and meaningful.
